Frequently Asked Questions
Which home kit do I need for a family with a refrigerator?
The 16 kWh tier is the entry home system for small families and apartments: it covers one air conditioner, the fridge compressor surge, a water pump, fans, TV and network, about 31 kWh per day with roughly 11 hours of backup. Smaller loads need less; several AC units together need the 20 kWh or 32 kWh tier.
Can these home systems run an air conditioner?
Yes. The 16 kWh tier runs one 1 HP unit; the 20 kWh tier runs three to four AC units plus a full domestic load; the 32 kWh tier carries the same load with longer backup. All use pure sine wave output, so compressors and electronics stay protected through switchover and outages.
What happens during a blackout?
The hybrid inverter switches to battery mode automatically, so lights, fans, the fridge and your network keep running. Grid or generator input is accepted as backup, and the system recharges the battery from solar or AC input as available, then returns to normal supply when it returns.
How do I expand capacity later?
The three home models are single-unit and do not parallel. To grow beyond 12 kW or add a second phase, move to the Commercial & Industrial parallel family, which scales from two to six inverter units. Within Home & Residential, choose the 32 kWh bank if you expect high overnight draw.
What warranty and battery care should I expect?
SunWell home solar-and-storage kits follow category warranties: LiFePO4 batteries for 5 years, hybrid inverters for 2 years, and solar panels under the supplier policy of a 10-year product warranty plus 30-year linear power warranty. Batteries need no watering or venting and install indoors in a dry, ventilated room.
