Frequently Asked Questions
What does "bifacial" mean and how much extra power do I get?
A bifacial panel generates from both faces. The rear side captures light reflected off the roof or ground, adding about 5%–20% annual energy depending on surface albedo—typically 10%–15% over a light-colored or reflective roof, and more over snow or white gravel.
How many panels can I put in one string?
Each panel is about 48–49 V open-circuit. Divide your inverter's maximum PV open-circuit voltage by this value and stay under the 1500 V (IEC) system limit, leaving margin for cold-weather voltage rise. Your SunWell hybrid inverter's MPPT range will tell you the safe string length.
Are these panels durable enough for harsh sites?
Yes. They use double-glass construction with 5400 Pa front and 2400 Pa rear load ratings, survive 25 mm hail at 23 m/s, and carry an IP68 junction box. They are certified against salt mist, ammonia, and dust, so they suit coastal, farm, and desert installations.
Why choose N-Type TOPCon over standard panels?
N-Type TOPCon cells resist light-induced and potential-induced degradation better than older types, so they keep more of their rated power year after year. With a low power temperature coefficient of −0.29%/°C, they also perform better in high heat, which matters for tropical and desert markets.
What warranty covers these panels?
SunWell panels carry a 12-year product warranty and a 30-year linear power warranty, guaranteeing at least 87.4% of rated output at 30 years with annual degradation of 0.4% or less. This long coverage reflects the panel's expected 25–30 year service life in the field.
